Mobile data network operator Zong’s services shut down in major cities on Wednesday afternoon. The issue was highlighted after customers complained of slow browsing and being unable to make or receive calls on Twitter.

Customers based in Lahore said that they were facing issues making calls, while others inquired if the signal issues were a result of maintenance work. Users also reported that Zong WiFi devices were also malfunctioning. Many of the consumers also claimed to use the internet and calls without balance. The peculiar activities of the private mobile data network occurred due to network disruption throughout the day. Some faced blackout while others claimed to use the services without a recharge. Many took to Twitter to make fun of the situation.
