“Sex crime has risen sharply in our society and only 1% is reported,” says PM Imran Khan

What happened: On January 2, premier Imran Khan in his address to the  “Riyast-i-Madina: Islam, Society, and Ethical Revival”  dialogue, stated that currently, Pakistan faces two sorts of crime,  “One being corruption and the other is sex crime, including rape.”  Imran Khan held a discussion with renowned religious scholars organized by NRAA( National Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Authority).  At the same time, the Prime Minister said that rising corruption and sex crimes are the two main evils that the Muslim world face.  Details: Talking about the sex crimes in society, Imran Khan said,  “Sex crimes had risen sharply in our society, that is rape and child abuse and only 1% is reported.”  Imran Khan also asked the other religious scholars for their viewpoints and conveyed their point of view, and the PM said,  “Islamic scholars agree youth must be taught how to deal with challenges thrown up by modern life.”  Also: The religious scholars collectively urged the Muslim youth to follow the life teachings of the Prophet( PBUH ). Dr. Timothy Winter the dean of Cambridge Muslim College, is quoted by Dawn as,  “Everybody knows the key trigger has been the availability. Even to young children, of high-resolution images of things that should be private and not made part of public entertainment.”
