Mumbai police rescued a 5-day-old baby girl after stray cats alerted the residents

What happened:  A five-day-old baby girl is healing in a local hospital after being rescued from a gutter where she was left to die in Mumbai, India.  Details:  Her health was being examined by doctors at the Rajawadi hospital, who said she was “doing OK.” Residents discovered the infant after a bunch of cats gathered beside the road and began hissing and purring loudly, according to police. Officials are looking into how she got into the drain. When the cops arrived, they discovered the baby inside the drain. They claimed the baby was howling in agony, clad in a thin shirt and saturated in sewage water. She was then take by two officers, covered in a cloth, and sent to the hospital.  More: Police constable Sheetal Sonawane said in her statement, “When we lifted the the baby out, she was freezing; her arms had turned blue. We asked for some warm water and cloth to clean the baby.” Doctor, Dr. Vidya Thakur who took care of the baby stated, “Doctors are constantly monitoring her health. We will keep her under observation for the next few days.”
