After Google, Apple stops product sales in Russia

What happened: On March 1, Reuters reported that due to pressure, Apple had stopped its product sales in Russia amid the invasion of Ukraine. Whereas, CNBC reported,  “Currently, on Apple’s Russia store, all Apple products are listed as ‘unavailable’ for purchase or delivery in the country.”  It is pertinent to mention that Apple followed the western businesses that had already cut ties with Russia as Russia began its invasion of Ukraine.  Details: On March 1, Apple also announced that it had removed the Russian state-controlled outlet’s RT News and Sputnik News from its App Store globally except for Russia. CNBC quotes the statement by Apple,  “We have taken a number of actions in response to the invasion. We have paused all product sales in Russia. Last week, we stopped all exports into our sales channel in the country.”  More:   At the same time, the outlet quoted an Apple spokesperson,  “Apple Pay and other services have been limited. We have disabled both traffic and the live incident in Apple Maps in Ukraine as a safety and precautionary measure for Ukrainian citizens.”
