What happened: The Sindh government has hinted at launching the Rescue 1122 emergency response service in the province, as previously Punjab had launched it nearly 18 years ago in 2004. Sindh has also acquired 288 new emergency ambulances, with a loan of seventy million dollars from the World Bank, as they aim to provide emergency assistance to the citizens. Details: TheNews has quoted the development as, “The project to launch the trauma centre and Rescue 1122 service in Larkana would also be completed by May 30.” Whereas, it is to be noted that the service is only for Larkanaa as of now, and in later stages, it will be launched in other cities, according to reports. At the same time, the development claimed that after every fifty kilometres on the motorway and Indus Highway there would fire engines and ambulances.
