Follow-up report: Testimonials of medical professionals, patients & ex-classmates claiming Dr.Rahman’s Harvard degree is fake

Back story: 2 weeks ago, Team Propergaanda did an investigative report on Dr. Aleem Rahman, a dentist based in Lahore who was accused of misleading his patients with a fake Harvard degree in advanced medical fields. The article circulated among many and provoked numerous other people to come forward with their statement on the matter, including his ex-classmates, mistreated patients, and medical professionals who explained the loopholes in Dr.Rahman’s Oral Maxillofacial and Sports Medicine degree. What you need to know: It should be noted that people with him in college also alleged that Dr.Rahman did not even complete his housejob after graduating from University of Lahore.

Credible source: Team Propergaanda also reached out to a Harvard professor himself who clarified that the Ivy League degree is always printed in Latin whereas the degree displayed by Dr.Rahman is typed out in English.

A patient’s account: One of the patients, Sakina* shared her account of malpractice where Dr.Rahman supervised the dentists in his clinics, via Zoom, who messed up her treatment, “I wanted to get veneers installed. Aleem’s parents are well-respected dentists, I got to know that he studied dentistry abroad; I had no reason to not go there. I went to ‘Rahman&Rahman: The Premiere’ and their colleagues there told me that Aleem will be supervising them via video call and they’d prep her teeth,” Sakina added that Aleem probably wanted to avoid ‘culpability.’ The process vs what happened: Sakina says that how the process usually works is that your teeth need grinding and then the next day veneers can be easily installed, “But the dentists at this clinic called me for grinding 4 times because their veneers were of extremely poor quality and they’d end up breaking or coming off.” The result: “My 6 completely healthy teeth were grounded down to nerves. I had to get root canals done in Dubai and then get the veneers installed. It took me 1.5 years to recover completely from the pain,” Sakina* explained where it went wrong, “I also wrote to his mother, Dr. Farzana but she replied back saying, ‘you’re just not happy with the aesthetics.’” The aftermath: As a result Sakina* also suffered from gum infection and severe migraines due to nerve exposure. Aleem’s father, Dr. Amin, who runs ‘Rahman & Rahman Dental Surgeons,’ did reply back to Sakina* and apologised, offering her that he could fix her teeth. The complaint: Sakina* wrote a complaint to Punjab Health Commission who forwarded it to a dentist who could account for the malpractice reported, “But that dentist was apparently paid off and didn’t give an opinion against his fellow colleague.” What’s next: Team Propergaanda also reached out to Pakistan Medical Commission and they also confirmed that Dr. Rahman is not registered. We have now written an official email to Harvard Registrar Office, to verify Aleem Rahman’s name in their directory. We are still waiting for their response.
