Former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani is among the top-4 most corrupt people in 2021

What happened: The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project revealed the list of the most corrupt person of the year. The former president of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, was among the top-4 finalists followed by the Syrian president Bashar Al-Assad. At the same time, the Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan was named as the fourth most corrupt president of the year by the OCCRP. OCCRP is an investigative news reporting platform for independent media outlets.  Details: Six journalists’ headed the panel that studied corruption and made the list of the most corrupt person of the year, which was the president of Belarus Aleksandr G. Lukashenko. One of the panelists Sullivan expressed his views about Ashraf Ghani and said,  “Ghani certainly deserves an award, too. He was breathtaking in both his corruption and his gross incompetence. He deserted his people, leaving them to misery and death..”  Also: The Turkish president was accused of laundering Chinese funds for his government. On the other hand, the Belarus president has been declared as Europe’s last  brutal  dictator.
