Friends separated after Pak-India partition reunite after 74 years
Sardar Gopal Singh and Muhammad Bashir, who were separated, met again in their late ages. Gopal Singh, aged 94, and Bashir, aged 91, separated after partitioning Pakistan and India in 1947. Gopal and Bashir were said to meet after remaining separated for 74 years.
Mohammad Bashir belonging to Narowal and Sardar Gopal Singh hails from India, reunites at the Data Darbar in Lahore. Both the friends traveled to the Kartarpur project and appreciated the government’s efforts. Reports suggest that the two friends talked about their time before the partition. Reportedly, the two friends also discussed how they used to visit the Gurudwara Sahib and other religious institutions. Twitter users shared the news of the friends reuniting and wrote, “Religion and pilgrimage aside for a moment.. this is a heart-warming picture..”
