Government budgets for anti-rape and sexual harassment funds.

What happened: Among the allocation of the 2021-22 fiscal budget the government allocated Rs.77 million for the protection of women against harassment at the workplace under the rubric of ministries and division. Moreover, in a an attempt to control sexual abuse and perversion crimes, Rs. 100 million were separated to establish an anti-rape fund. This fund will be responsible for covering litigating  and investigative expenses involved in such sensitive cases so that justice can be served promptly. Click here for more from ProperGaanda.
