Here’s why Sialkot administration denied permission for PTI’s jalsa
On May 14, Sialkot’s district administration refused to allow Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a gathering of former Prime Minister Imran Khan at Sialkot’s CTI Ground. The district government objected since the party organisers did not get permission from the owners of the CTI Ground in Sialkot to hold their public rally there.
CTI boy’s school says PTI did not take permission from them, “The said ground is for our prayer meetings. Kindly use some other ground as the place is only meant for our church gatherings.”
PTI leader Usman Dar reacted to the Sialkot government for obstructing a peaceful power show at the request of the ‘illegal’ chief minister Hamza Shahbaz. Usman Dar refused to modify the location of the PTI’s public rally and told activists to go to the CTI’s ground.
