International drug dealers in Karachi arrested for smuggling heroin and ice
Two accused of smuggling heroin and crystal methamphetamine in capsules were arrested by Karachi police on the 23rd of December. In a police operation against the international drug dealers operating in Karachi, the SSP Central Malik Murtaza announced the arrest of Zubair Siddiqui and Waqar Siddiqui after a few capsules of the drug ice were recovered from them.
SSP Central Malik Murtaza also claimed that the two brothers are part of an international smuggling gang and they used naive persons for smuggling. He laid out the details of how the international smuggling gang uses individuals to smuggle drugs, “People were given regular training in swallowing capsules. A person can swallow half a kilo of drug through pills, heroin or ice capsules and are then sent to Dubai, Qatar and other Arab countries.” It is pertinent to mention that if a capsule leaks, it could result in an individual’s death.
At the same time, the local police claimed that one of the accused’s documents were made in Peshawar but the original travel documents were used in the smuggling process. On the other hand, Malik Murtaza said that a 12-member gang of international smugglers had spread over Karachi.
