The historic Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, which is a popular location for “nikkah’s”, has banned wedding photography.
Due to it’s scenic architecture, the Mughal-era mosque has been a popular location for nikkah’s, wedding ceremonies and wedding photography. However, according to the first-rate team of photographer Palwasha Minhas, the gatekeepers of the historic mosque have enforced a total ban on wedding photography in the mosque from December 19th onwards. Sunday Times wrote on Instagram, “Badshahi Mosque has banned wedding photography. Current bookings are safe but no new bookings will be taken until further notice log on to sunday.com.pk for some beautiful alternatives.”
Although many locals are disappointed with this decision, others have expressed that this is the right choice given the historic significance of the area.
Apparently government has banned professional wedding photography at the Badshahi Mosque. Excellent decision. No more weddings for which you have to trek all the way to Androon Sheher because the dulha dulhan want ~elegant shots of the nikkah~.
