Lawsuit against hoisting Pakistani flag during practice session rejected by Dhaka’s court
A lawsuit that was filed against the Pakistan cricket team got rejected by the Bangladeshi court. It is pertinent to know that the lawsuit was filed against the 21-member squad of the Pakistan cricket team for hoisting the national flag during training sessions in Bangladesh. The team hoisted the Pakistani flag for inspiring and motivating them during the practice sessions in Bangladesh.
However, now, a court in Bangladesh has rejected the lawsuit. The Bangladeshi media reported about Dhaka’s court rejecting the lawsuit. It is pertinent to know that the General Secretary of Bangladesh, Muktijoddha Mancha, filed the lawsuit. After listening to arguments, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate rejected the petition filed against the Pakistani cricket team. Kamran Rehmat expressed his views in a tweet, “Sanity prevails. In the past, Bangladesh had similar issues, leading at one stage in multilateral tournament to banning flags.” However, the Pakistani head coach Saqlain Mushtaq revealed that hoisting the flag inspires and motivates the players.
