The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team has gone to the Parliament House to arrest Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) rejected their bail plea in the mega money laundering case.

A two-member IHC bench heard Zardari’s bail plea in the fake accounts case against the former president on Monday. Announcing the verdict, the bench rejected Zardari’s bail plea, after which the team was sent to their residence to arrest the two.

A special alert has been issued to the Islamabad police over possible arrest of PPP co-chairman Zardari. NAB chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal had issued arrest warrants Asif Ali Zardari in the mega moneylaundering case.
