National Assembly to debate on no-confidence motion today

What happened: On March 31 (today), the National Assembly will begin debating the no-confidence resolution.  Details: The resolution submitted by Shehbaz Sharif, the PML-N president and leader of the opposition in the House, requesting a discussion on the no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan is on the list of agendas for the day, according to the NA Secretariat’s schedule released on Wednesday. The resolution: “Through this Resolution under clause (1) of Article 95 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, this House resolves that it has no-confidence in the Prime Minister, Mr Imran Khan, and consequently he should cease to hold office under clause (4),” What else: Other items include a letter to the defence minister from MNA Faheem Khan about an issue of urgent public importance involving “non-payment of salary to councillors in the cantonment boards throughout the country, causing significant worry among the public.”
