National Assembly to debate on no-confidence motion today
On March 31 (today), the National Assembly will begin debating the no-confidence resolution.
The resolution submitted by Shehbaz Sharif, the PML-N president and leader of the opposition in the House, requesting a discussion on the no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan is on the list of agendas for the day, according to the NA Secretariat’s schedule released on Wednesday.
“Through this Resolution under clause (1) of Article 95 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, this House resolves that it has no-confidence in the Prime Minister, Mr Imran Khan, and consequently he should cease to hold office under clause (4),”
Other items include a letter to the defence minister from MNA Faheem Khan about an issue of urgent public importance involving “non-payment of salary to councillors in the cantonment boards throughout the country, causing significant worry among the public.”
