Pakistan can not afford enmity with the US due to a faulty foreign policy of the previous government
Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, during a dinner gathering in Islamabad, said, “Pakistan can not afford to have enmity with the US at all.” At the same time, Shehbaz Sharif vowed to have cordial relations with allies and friends of Pakistan, as he claimed that the PTI-led previous government’s foreign policies were faulty.
Dawn quoted the developments of dinner as, “PM regretted that the previous government led by PTI had annoyed all those countries that had always helped Pakistan in difficult times, China, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United States.” Subsequently, Shehbaz Sharif vowed to end the mistrust and claimed that both countries, Pakistan and the US, needed to see if they had committed any mistakes.
However, Shehbaz Sharif’s main focus during the dinner was regarding Pakistan’s foreign policy, as claimed by Dawn’s report. The report stated, “He spoke about his forthcoming visit to Saudi Arabia and also expressed his concerns over the suicide attack on the Chinese nationals in Karachi.”
