Pakistan is expected to be the only Asia-Pacific country to see a decrease in salaries in 2020 according to a report by mobility consultancy ECA International.
According to the report, the average real salary increase in Pakistan is expected to be negative and employers are expected to be worse off next year. Moreover, the Regional Director Asia for the ECA International explained this by saying that inflation in Pakistan is expected to reach 13 per cent in 2020. However, this is not true for other Asian countries. For example, India topped the chart for average real salary increases both in Asia and globally.
