What happened:

Ghalia Saleh, a resident of Tulkarm during the Covid-19 lockdown to distract her daughter from using mobile, decided to make interactive books for her. In her interview quoted by Reuters, Ghalia said, “The idea for my first book project came from my daughter Sarah, who saw this book in one of the means of communication and asked me to make a similar book for it.” Ghalia Saleh now also makes books for other Palestinian mothers who try to restrict their children’s screen-time.

Details:

For Ghalia, it started off as a solution to her daughter’s mobile usage, but as time progressed, this turned into a hobby for her and she said that “I saw my artistic energy and artistic taste polish.” The price range for Ghalia Saleh’s interactive books is from $35 to $65.
