Renowned French university is now offering Masters degree in eating, drinking and living

What happened:

A renowned French University named “Science Po Lille” is offering the master course for people who love eating and drinking. The master’s course is called BMV, a short form for “Boire, Manger, and Vivre.”  The BMV master’s course covers a wide range of topics regarding topics about food, drinks, and living. The Telegraph reported that the course includes gastro-diplomacy, food tech and fighting sexism in the kitchen.

Details:

The Gastro-diplomacy course includes a method of reaching people’s hearts and minds through their stomachs and the students are made to write essays on lifestyle, plant-based alternatives to meat, history of farming and other related topics. The master’s courses offered by the university is their attempt to encourage the students “To save the world via their profession.”

One of the professors teaching the course at the French university stated, “These master’s courses will unite the students around one passion. And food is going to be one of the major challenges globally seeing the climate emergency.” At the same time, the BMV course is a course that crosses the boundaries of culture, environment and international relations.
