The world’s most expensive Indonesian chicken was bought by a Pakistani for 200,000 rupees to sell its eggs which are worth 10,000 rupees each. The Ayam Cemani chicken breed is considered a “goodluck charm” as its an all-black chicken laying cream-colored blue eggs. Faisalabad’s Muhammad Zahid bought Ayam Cemani’s pair for 200,000 as “The meat of this chicken is widely used in medicines.”
Muhammad Zahid, in an interview with Samaa, claimed that he is interested in farming the world’s most expensive chicken. The Faisalabadi man thinks that everything around the Ayam Cemani breed helps fetch a reasonable price. It is pertinent to know that the Indonesian breed of chicken is sold at 5000 dollars a pair at the international market, making it the world’s most expensive chicken breed. According to National Geographic, Ayam Cemani is also the most deeply pigmented bird found in nature.
