If you weren’t already aware, The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved a RS 9 increase in the price of petrol per litre on Friday. It will be sold at Rs108 per litre after approval of the federal government on Tuesday. The prices for petrol have gone up once again. But what many people are noticing is the hypocracy of the current government’s policy. Last year, Imran Khan himself tweeted that it was wrong for the PML-N government to up the price. However, since he has come to power, he has found himself making very similar mistakes.
And if there’s one thing we know about social media, it’s that it never forgets. People have been savagely critiquing the Prime Minister for his constant U-turns and hypocrisy.
Price per barrel = 63.08 US $
One barrel = 159 litres
Price per litre = 0.42 US $ per litre
0.42 US $ = 0.42 x 140 = 58.8 PKRYou were shouting like anything on these taxes during previous government, why silent now?#petrolprice#MehngaPakistan #PetrolBomb pic.twitter.com/gddISHKmqV

This isn’t the first time this has happened to Imran Khan.
He criticized the previous government for not visiting victims of terrorist attacks. Yet it took him an outcry from the public from to do so when the Hazara community was under attack. He also critiqued the PPP government was not being present during the protests, however; he himself was in China when the Tehrik-e-Labaik help our country hostage.
Karachi to Gilgit Pak is burning & rulers least bothered. Instead they are travelling abroad or boasting of invisible "achievements"!
