Pakistan is the most hospitable country, says former Australian captain Greg Chappell
The former Australian captain Greg Chappel wants Australia to tour Pakistan with their full-strength team as Australia is scheduled to tour Pakistan in March. At the same time, the former Australian captain applauded the hospitability and said, “The stadiums are excellent, as are the 5-star hotels and other facilities for tourists. The people are extremely friendly and respectful.”
It is pertinent to mention that Australia is scheduled to tour Pakistan after their last tour in 1988. Ramiz Raja said, “A top-performing side like Australia visiting the country after 24 years would be a delight.” On the other hand, the Australian government is yet to give the green light for their 3 Tests, 3 ODIs and 1 T20I tour in Pakistan.
While writing for Sydney Morning Herald, Greg wrote, “Pakistan, in particular, deserve to host a full-strength Australian team, having had to play almost all of their cricket in the UAE for the past decade.” At the same time, Greg Chappel applauded the Pakistani fans and wrote, “They are very passionate and knowledgeable about their cricket.” He concluded the column by noting that the world Test cricket needs a solid Pakistani team to compete with the big three.
